Hi there,

I am new to these forums (obviously). I need help with finding a short story to relate to an essay I will be writing, but I am afraid I am not very knowledgeable about this area. I need to find a short story (and also a poem, but I think I may be able to handle that one on my own at least) that can relate to a story about a man who does the wrong thing for the right reasons, or vice versa.

I am also unaware of where to post this topic... Would someone mind helping me out here?

Ahaha, I would do that, but I need to find it from a credible source.

If you don't know any short stories specifically, do you know where I may be able to find any on this wonderful world wide web, or even some decent authors who may have written on the subject? I'm afraid my knowledge of short stories is restricted to the old-fashioned horror variety of Edgar Allen Poe and H.P. Lovecraft, and unfortunately none of their tales that I can find can easily be related to my essay theme.
