Could you help me? I  want to say that  before a festival, which is celebrated in a forest, some people go there and clean it, put tables and barbecues, a stage for a band, etc.

Every year  the forest is ............... for the event.

Is prepared possible?

It can be, but it can possibly be interpreted as though the forest is readying itself for the event.

Preparations might be a bit clearer.

Every year preparations are made to the forest for the event.
