I have two questions:

Please tell me how the phrases "in addition" and "on account" could be a preposition.

Another question: Can I write this too?

This is right:

Please tell me how the phrases "in addition" and "on account" could be prepositions.

They are both phrasal prepositions (some consider them idioms), as in:

In addition to sushi, I also like sashimi.
I stayed in bed on account of a migraine.
