Prepositions are really tough, and it's impossible to give you a rule that will simply work for you in all situations.

I'm afraid you're going to have to learn which prepositions to use in which situations individually.

Hi Cutie Rose

The kitten is in the drain. (implies inside something)

The candles are on the table. (implies on the surface of something)

Could you please try to write  a couple of sentences so that members can assist you further.

1.  You do not need to repeat your post, especially in such a short period of time.

2.  Your question is terribly vague and often constitutes a complete lesson in English texts.

3.  This is not the place to post your attachment, as cute as it may be.  There are other places on the Internet where there are people just looking for things like that.

4. .We will be happy to help you out with questions that are less general.

You posted twice. I've given you two examples in the other post. Please write several sentences so that we can assist you further.

I have merged the threads - and deleted the three anonymous posts asking the same question.

PLEASE do not post the same thing more than once.
