I heard uses of prepositions at the end of a sentence is generally bad

and should tried to be as minimal as possible.

Is that true?

then which of the following sentences is grammatically correct?

when does the lesson start? or

when does the lesson start at?

Hello, DAI, welcome to the English Forums!

Your first sentence is correct. You don't use "at" with "when".
