My name is Gilbert, but my friends call me Gil. I’m 28 years old, in my mind I’m 18 although the others find me older, especially when I’m working, which is good when you are a dentist, because it transmits experience. I’m not married and I haven’t found yet the future mother of my children, anyway I don’t think that I’m ready for this kind of compromise, perhaps in a few years.

I like spending the time with my friends, preferentially at weekends. During the week it is complicated, I work from Monday until Saturday morning and in the evenings I go to the “academia” or to the gymnasium. I also spend a lot of time in front of my computer because I’m addicted to the internet, it is also a means to being connected with my friends, but it isn’t the same thing, nevertheless, the lack of time nowdays makes this kind of connection somehow important. I love sports, every Sunday morning I play football with some friends. In the past I played Volleyball, Handball, Tennis, hockey and swimming.

My plans for the future are not decided yet, I don’t know if I want to continue being a general dentist or try a post graduation, becoming a student again, but this time in a foreign country, that’s why it’s important to me to learn English. It could be a great experience, but I’m not sure if I have the strength to do it.

PS - I’m portuguese.

Thank you all.

I’m sorry, because I’ve just noticed that the forum has a topic for the presentations. Embarrassed [:$]

We’ve had better days.   There’s an economical crisis, lots of factories are closing to open in the countries of east Europe or Asia and therefore the number of unemployed people is increasing.

Politically, the majority of the Portuguese people don’t trust their politicians and it’s hard for me to say it, but they have reasons for that. Anyway, the worst is gone, I believe it will get better.

Nevertheless, it’s a nice country to live, good people, food, weather…
