about viewpoint of western, i just agree with you that they like girl with dark skin and small eyes.
i had worked for 3 years in thailand where i find a kind of special phenomena that

I think it is kind of hard to generalize things like that. I would imagine that this beauty is beautiful to some degree due to its exoticness. Bright skin and big eyes is more rare and exotic in China, and it is beautiful. Dark skin and small eyes is exotic in EU and US so it is beautiful. I saw a documentary that said anthropologists think we are attracted to people with physical traits different than our own for biological reasons relating to survival of the species. I guess that could be at play here too. I also have heard about cross cultural studies between Japan and I believe Ireland where most people in both countries rated pictures of faces, and in both locations, the same faces were rated beautiful, which might suggest some underlying aspect of beauty that isn’t affected by culture. My guess is that if you are beautiful there, you’d probably do okay in the EU or US.

hi,i'm chinese too, i asked this question to one of my british friends before, when i told her chinese people think i had bright skin and small eyes she was suprised, coz she couldn't tell the difference. when i compared my eyes to another chinese girl who has REALLY big eyes, she realised that was true, but she would never notice if i didn't metion it. No offence, people think you have big eyes and bright skin when you're in china, it doesn't mean people still think so in EU or US, similarly, we think all the people in EU,US,India...have big eyes, but they can tell the difference to each other.

You will be UGLY if you go to US, West Side... Because, it is same if we saw other countries girls come to China.
For Example, if you live in China, and you saw a LA girl, you will think she is ugly, strange, just like how they feel you are.
But, don't worry so much, you will be GREAT in some LA guys' eyes, but not so much, of course.
If you want me to choose, I will choose both, because they are just same, I got two "girl" friend, one with bright skin and big eyes, another one with dark skin and small eyes, but I think they are both beautiful to me.
So don't worry so much, I can give you an advice, when you go to US, England, Russia, Portugeese...... Just remember to smile! That will let you become very cute and beautiful, even they don't like you in the beginning.

Im a chinese girl too and have never been abroad before. I do think darker skin, flatter face kinda appearance is what western people think chinese beauty should be, because it's typically classical chinese. We can get that in lotsa Disney movies. The comic images tell us the very huge differences in judging beauties between western and eastern. I like Lucy Liu's appearance quite much though im chinese. I just think something fits in the surroundings and acts in a exquisite way can be considered beautiful. there is nothing really has much to do with eyes size or skin colour.
