Problems with quotes, emoticons, etc

Yes, a space, then either you click on an emoticon from the above list, then space again, or space, then [and the signs for the emoticon, then ] again, space, and you go on typing.

This is all I can do/say, for I'm not a hyper-mod (far from it!) Sad [:(]

The worst is not that I can't use emoticones but that I can't use links, quotes, bold texts, etc because of this... May be one day it will start working. I'm an optimist!

Look, yesterday I posted several messages using emoticones. In 2 of them emoticones and links worked properly (but in the other ones it didn't)! Then I wanted to edit one of my messages which was all right. As soon as I wrote a space after the last emoticone in this message (that was only this editing), all the text failed: the quote, the link and the emoticone... That was strange because I didn't edit the link and in the quote at all! Thank God I could edit it one more time to make the text look readable. Since this happened I can't make the emoticones, links, etc work properly whatever I do.

This is my "story"...

Hellooo!..

Is anybody here who can help me??? Hyper mods, where are you? I have no idea why I cannot use emoticons and BBCode. Do you have ones?..

For example, when I am trying to use <img src="/emoticons/emotion-22.gif" alt="Beer <b>" />bold</b> type I see a symbol "Beer mug" in the preview and I see gibberish in my post. Why do I see a beer mug? I don't want to! I want to see bold type!

Besides, nothing is going on when I click on the emoticone from the list. But as far as I understand the emoticone should be placed in. Am I right?

Please anybody help me!..

Hello, Ruslana,

I'm sorry for your problems... If you want to use the bold type, or italics, or underline some part of your text, you just use the symbols on top of your message box. Either you select the text then click on the symbol, or you click on the symbol before writing your text, then re-click on it after you have written your text.

I'm at a loss about the emoticons.

Pieanne! Please look at the image of my reply-window. Is that what must be? Something is telling me that it is not. Because you are talking about some symbols on top of my message box but I don't see them! Do you mean the links "(Formatting Guide)" and "Emoticons"?
