Hi,
If I had to guess, I'd make it sound like 'wipes'.(:)) Smile

Hi Clive,

Instead of saying If I had to guess I would say If I had to pronounce. What does If I had to guess in the above context?

Hi,

If I could ask someone how the name is pronounced, I would do that. I might even say to Mr. Zipes, 'I'm sorry, how do you pronounce your name, please?'

But if I had no opportunity to ask before I had to pronounce the name, I would simply have to guess.

Best wishes, Clive
