Pronounciation of COMFORTABLE?

Hoping this might be the right place to help settle an arguement about the pronounciation of COMFORTABLE.

Is it - Comftabal - the way we ALL seem to say it!

or Comfort-A-ble - with clear use of the 'A'

Hope I have explained that well.

Personally I say it comf-ter-ble. I'm guessing you're from Britain, but I guess mine would be the American equivalent of the way you say it Stick out tongue [:P]

as for the word "Comfortable", I can understand saying it "comf'TAble' to shorten it a bit; but not 'comfTERble', because if you really look closely at the word in its syllables, the 'r' comes BEFORE the 't', not AFTER.
