Yeah, but I'd say that U-Dub is an abbreviated form of the abbreviation UW (you double-you). I don't really think that it's an acronymn....

could you guys tell me how to pronouce AWS (American Welding Society) ? i do think it should be " ai dublju s" rathter than "aus" . thanks in advance.
