Hi everybody!

Could you, please, check my sentences. I’m writing the article for English version of a Russian health website. I want to make sure my English makes sense :))

. This alternative medication (placebo treatment) means prescribing inert substances with no pharmacological activity against actual illness in terms of therapeutic effectiveness.

Thanks in advance

The choice of the initial pronoun or article depends on the context.

The alternative treatment for the illness is prescribing a medication (a placebo) consisting of inert substances which have no pharmacological activity in terms of therapeutic effectiveness.
