"Leopard is powerful, polished and carefully coceived." David Pogue said.

Is comma or something needed before David?

Thanks

Replacing the period inside the quote with a comma will correct your sentence.  Many would also place 'said' before the person's name.
(Note typo:  conceived.)

Hi Philip

That's interesting. Would it be more common in the US to have the verb (said) before the subject? That is the old word order in Germanic languages and it is required in Swedish after a quote. English is more flexible in this respect, both word orders are generally considered correct.

I really couldn't tell you which is more common.

Thanks, Philip and CB.

I've learned these two patterns before. I think I see/hear them 50/50 in the news.

 I get this punctuation!
