Hi, Is the punctuation for a content inside quotation marks a domain of a writer's discretion? I think diiferent punctuation marks can be use in certain situations to denote pretty much similar contextual meaning, then what could be the obligation (if there is any) or guidance (if it is needed) should a writer follow?
My examples might not reflect the nature of my question well.
