1. What's the difference between "quotes" and "quotation"?

2. Pompous, bombastic, grandiloquent, high-flown, grandiose. Do they have the same meanings? Do they mean showy? I don't really understand those words.

3. What's the difference between "shriek" and  "scream"?

Thanks.

3. What's the difference between "shriek" and  "scream"?  Both are inarticulated noises of surprise or shock; a shriek would tend to be short and sharp; a scream is loud and full,

Thanks.
