How do you read and remember a word that spells particularly long? For example:

 1)supercalifragilisticexpiadocious

 2) bababadalgharaghtakamminarronnkonnbronntonnerronntuonnthunntrovarrhounawnskawntoohoohoordenenthurnuk

It looks to me pointless to have made such long words because you cannot read it in a breath.

Hi NL888

The first word is pretty easy to remember if you learn the song it comes from.  But, keep in mind that it isn't really a word in the usual sense.  It's a made-up, nonsense word, and it was invented specifically for that song. (I have no problem saying that word in one breath, by the way.)

The second word is also a made-up word and I doubt that you will find too many people who have ever heard of it -- much less who can spell it. Wink

Thank you.

If convenient, would you like to post the song here?

That word comes from a movie called "Mary Poppins".

This is the part that people usually remember:

Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!
Even though the sound of it is something quite atrocious
If you say it loud enough, you’ll always sound precocious
Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!

Much of the scene in the movie actually centers on the fact that it's a made-up word which is neither easy to say nor to remember.

As I recall, they also manage to say it backwards, too (suoicodiliaipxecitsiligarfilacrepus). Surprise
