sorry for beeing away for so long!!

I had to travel a bit to take part in a Recruiting-Event....

your last paragraph is really good. I just put the last one in because i was asked for the salary but honestly i really had no idea how to say it "nicely".

In the middle part i have the problem that in a german resume you always have to say what you have allready done and where your skills are. I made the experience in reading through some resumes on the internet that the englisch ones are more compact. Though i am not a native speaker most of the time the perfekt word to make it sound good and short wont come to my mind, so i always have to sneak around what i really want to say. Kind of complicated i know but my only chance :-)

If you have any further suggestions you know how thankful i am for your help!! I've been to the library and looked in some books but they are from 1999 and i think things might have changed since than, so i really am very thankful for your advises!!!

If i can help with anything, please ask i'd be glad to return your enthusiasm!

Hi,

you could go to a good bookshop and look for a book with samples in it. In Düsseldorf, in a bookshop called sternverlag, I've seen many of them, OK, not really many, 3-4 but there is enough information. One contained samples for secretary, interns, managers, etc, bright variety, so one could find something they needed. At the moment, I am using the Internet, too and collecting everything I like from ads, samples, etc. And I write 2 different kind of applications, one for the UK, shorter and one for the rest, more like the German applications.

Furthermore, there is a book for Business English 'Jump into Business English' with a sample in it for the UK and it is very short, maybe 5 sentences. In my opinion it concentrate on the form and is not so useful for me but still interesting.

And I would be very glad for you, if you find the job you wanted.

Best wishes,

Kathrin

Is it me or is it the universe? It could be the universe but I am not sure thus I have been still wondering and drinking tea. However, the tea is getting cold.
