Hi,

I have a sentence in the past perfect progressive below and wish you would tell me if the sentence mentions anything about John stop playing. John started playing the sport at nine.

John had been playing baseball with his friends for one hour before his sister came.

My question:

What time did he stop playing? If the answer is ten, how are you sure of that? Does the sentence clearly show that he stopped playing at ten? Does the sentence say anything about John stop playing.Thank you.

Hi,

Best wishes, Clive
