Hi, everybody!!! Could you be so kind and check the following letter. I will be glad if you leave some comments and recommendations about it.

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am, senior lecturer of the “****” Department, writing this reference for *** (me) for admission to the “****”Program.

I have known *** for 2 years as he has taken the following chapters of the Higher Mathematics which I teach: **.

I can say that it is not quite easy to get an excellent mark in the semester examination I conduct. To do so student must find the solution to an original and sophisticated problem which was not considered on workshops during the semester. ** successfully solved these difficult problems and passed all the tests and got excellent marks for all examinations in my courses.

** is very industrious student. He had been always performing his homework, though it was not obligatory. He is not afraid to assume the responsibility. At my classes he always tackled the difficult problems while others did not do so being afraid to make a mistake.

My hobby is a football, and sometimes students invite me to take part in their matches. I remember a match, when *** was a captain of the opponent team. He scored the goal at the last minute of the match, thus bring the score level. Then, in penalty shots, he scored the last penalty and brought the victory for his team. It shows that in at a critical moment *** is not afraid to assume the responsibility and can be a leader of a team. Though, during the match *** can be rather violent and use not very courteous words to encourage the team to play well, in everyday life he is very kind, careful and attentive friend with a good sense of humour.

Based on my professional experience I evaluate *** as an industrious, intelligent, well organized and easy-going person with a strong willpower. I strongly believe that he is an appropriate candidate for admission to the ** Program.

If you have any further questions with regard to his background or qualifications, please feel free to contact me.

Yours sincerely,

***
