Please try to write your letter first with all the relevant information about your work, and the reason why you need to have your annual leave paid in advance. Also, you need to check with your personnel office to see whether this is a customary practice at your work place. A supervisor can only carry out an approved company policy, and not create new ones. If there is such a policy, then try to think of ways to convince your boss, as you are the only person that would know him best. Then we will help edit the letter for you.

I write to apply for my annual leave. I wish that the leave be between June 9th to 19th: This is to enable me participate in the orientation exercise organised by National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) which I have been shortlisted for. I would like to solicit that my outstanding salary be paid.
