Awww don't be sad Chaos! We all make mistakes and learn from them. Besides, even native speakers of English don't make themselves perfectly clear sometimes.

Would the best phrasing be:

There are 10 candles, all are lit. Consequently 3 are blown out. How many will be left?

Don't feel bad at all. I understood your question. Some are more picker then others is all. Don't worry about it! Some of us appreciate that you posted. Thank you!

Weren't there still 10 candles left?  None of them "left" - there were just some blown out.  Is that the answer?

Three, because the ones you have blown out are yet to melt.

10, just because they are blown out dosen't mean they're gone.

5 candles are left!if there are ten candles 5 are always left and 5 always right considering u place youreslf in the middle, which is universally correct!
