Thankfully, those dinosaur days of multimedia are long gone. Or are they?

Wouldn't it more correct to say:

Hi Paultx,

The original is correct. The meaning is "They are gone. Hmm. Wait. Le'ts think about this. Are they really gone?"

You're confusing it (I think) with a tag question: Those days are gone, aren't they?

A tag question expects agreement.
