Dear Teachers,

1. It would appear that the effect of having lived homeless and hungry in the 2007 movie the Pursuit of Happiness has rubbed off on his future career choices.

- What does "rubbed off on" mean in this situation?

Thanks very much!

Hi, Stevennukd.

I think rubbed off on means having an effect through close association or contact and therefore it has nfluenced on the things. The sentence mentioned above tells us why he has gotten a good job and how his homeless and felling of a hungry influence on his future life and choice.
