Is the verb "are" ok here, kindly advice.

Shown from left to right are the stable reference case, the most unstable flap position in symmetrical flow, and the most unstable flap position with a favorable sideslip.

If "are" is used as a verb shouldn't that be "cases" instead of "case". Kindly advice.

No; there are three complements of are:

( 1 ) the stable reference case
( 2 )  the most unstable flap position in symmetrical flow
and
( 3 )  the most unstable flap position with a favorable sideslip.

These are all, I presume illustrations-- there are 3 illustrations.
