Hello teachers,

The sentence pattern of the following bothers me:

1) I am bored.

I was taught that this is an S+LV+SC pattern where 'bored' functions as an adjective and denotes condition. It is the past participle of the verb teach. The main verb is am, right?

2) I am bored by the movie.

Is this also an S+LV+SC pattern? I was told that if we put the agent, it changes the pattern to S+V.

a)Is the sentence in the present simple passive form?

b)Is the main verb am or is it bored?  If the verb is in the simple passive voice, then that makes 'am'  the auxiliary? Thinking [8-)]

thank you
