I am looking for writing a letter for sponsorships and scholarships in Athlone Regional Centre Sports.  I will be doing triathlon in the 2007 Triathlon Ireland Events and some countries events( for getting some points for qualifying Beijing Olympics 2008 and London Olympics 2012).  This season is beginning in June and I plan on attending over eight different tournaments on my own.  Help of finances and tournament fees, travel expenses, and equipment is what I want a little help with.  I am more than willing to advertise and be a spokesman/role-model for several companies.  The more help provided, means more publicity for their companies. I've got the knowledge of winning and placing in tournaments.  My goal in life is to be in the Elite triathlon.  I will not stop until I have succeeded, so anything may help in the quest to my Destiny.  I would really appreciate any help anyone can provide, rather it be an outline, guidence,draft  or whatever...

Hi,

You need to write a draft of a sponsorship request letter to send to companies. Tell them what you are doing, how it can benefit their company, and what you want from them, including whether you want to meet with them. If you have good results, tell them about those, and tell them about your plans for the future. Tell them how much exposure you will get for them. What form will your advertising for them take? Will there be TV coverage, and to what extent? Can you wear logos on your clothes? In the Olympics?

Anyway, write a draft and post it here. Then we can try to help you with comments. 

I'm interested, because I'm also a triathlete, although not an Elite. In Ireland, do you do ocean swims? Sounds cold. In Ontario, it's all lake swimming.
