Should the security council be expanded in the light of India and Pakistan becoming nuclear powers?

The security council is ineffective and should therefore be scrapped.

Pakistan is a member of the UN Security Council.

It would only give more incentive for countries to develop nuclear weapons if doing so made one part of the Security Council. The council is a post-WWII relic, designed to give a feeling of glory and achievement to the victors of WWII. Nowadays, it is irrellevant. Countries like France and Russia (permanent members of the security council) are hardly capable of maintaining world security.
