Hello,

The meaning of "are you seeing someone" was recently discussed in another thread.

Below is an excerpt from the Cambridge Dictionaries online.

to have a romantic relationship with someone:
How long has she been seeing him?

"I saw my friends" is OK, but here "to see" doesn't have the same meaning as in your other sentence.

I know situation is different,I just wonder if I can use this for my friends and family, not in the same intention but just to tell my past experience.
Thanks

Not really. If the tense is "Are you seeing someone?" then it means "Are you romantically connected right now?"

These can have the meaning you describe:

On your vacation, did you see anyone [from your home town, etc.]

On your vacation, will you see anyone [e.g., your parents, etc.]
