The commercial they were running in Japan at the time was pretty sensual, like a scene from Dirty Dancing.

Why does the author prefer sensual over sexual or sexy?
Thanks.

Hi,

I don't know. I'd usually use the word to describe a person, or at least some experience or thing that is closely associated with a person who 'feels' it. I don't remember seeing a commercial that I would describe as 'sensual'. Unfortunately.

Hi N2G

I suggest you have a look at google: Results 1 - 10 of about 334 for "sensual commercial". (0.06 seconds)

Reading through some of these should give you an idea.
