Which of the following sentence is correct


It was concluded that the fuel ratio of the engine is the most siginificant factor which influences the efficiency of the car   

or

It has thus been concluded that the fuel ratio of the engine is the most siginificant factor which influences the efficiency of the car

Which of the following sentence is correct

or

It has thus been concluded that the fuel ratio of the engine is the most siginificant factor which influences the efficiency of the car   '

'Thus' adds an extra meaning to #2 that is not present in #1, unless you want to say 'It was thus concluded  . . '

Both of these tenses are correct, but with different meanings.
Consider two simpler examples.
Do you know the difference between Dinner was cooked and Dinner has been cooked
