Hi guys,

Please I need help with the next situation...Shrink wants know, why the the director of the military school expelled one guy.

Director: All I can tell you is that he was de-enrolled following an altercation with his cadet team leader.

Shrink: Well, was he alone in the altercation?

Director: Any other boys involved were dealt with appropriately. ???

Please did he say...

a) Any other boys were acting appropriatelly in that altercation?...( They weren't so aggresive as he was..)

b) Any other boys weren't expelled?

Many thanks in advance..

nice day to all.

Any other boys involved were dealt with appropriately.

The rest of them got their punishment/were treated properly would be my guess.

Hmm, strange... We use 'any' only with negative and interrogative forms but not positive.

Are you sure you heard correctly, JC?

You're probably right...

Any other = every other..

boys involved = boys that were involved in that altercation..

were dealt with appropriately = they got what they deserve..

thanks.
