Hi, thanks for your help.
I am having trouble with these, please check and see if I am correct.
Patterns: 1: Subject Predicate
2. Sub. Pred. Direct Obj.
3: Sub. Pred. Indirect Obj. Direct Obj.
4: Sub. Linking Verb Predicate Noun
5: Sub. Linking Verb Pred. Adjective
1. Hoping to win first prize, Tom entered the contest.
I say it is pattern 4
2. She always stood up for what she believed in.
I say pattern 3
3. London, which is the largest city in England, is also the capital of that country.
I say pattern 4
4. He showed his father his sincerity by cooperating with all his teachers at school.
I say pattern 3
5. To err is human; to forgive is divine.
