Dear teachers,

Would you please correct my answers?

Rephrase the following sentences using the prompts given.
   
1. He entered the place. They immediately stared at him.
No sooner... had he entered the place that they immediately stared at him.

2. She regrets not meeting him earlier.
She wishes... she had met him earlier.

3. The guards often saw workaholics leaving the building late at night.
The guards were used... to seeing workaholics leaving the …

4. I want to be one of them.
If only... I were one of them.

5. It’s his first trip to New-York City.
It is the first time... he has (ever) been to NYC.

6. He invited Mitch to come sweat with him at his health club.
He suggested : “Will you come sweat with me at my health club, Mitch?”

7. Perhaps she spent the night with a friend.
She might ... have spent the night with a friend.

8. It was such a horrible sight!
It was the most horrible / worst sight he had ever saw.

9. It was unusual for anyone to call him so early.
He wasn’t used to ... be called so early.

10. He would not tell her the truth.
He ... would never be told the truth ????

11. When he switched on the lights, he realised there was something wrong.
No sooner ... had he switched the light that he realised that there was …

12. He tried very hard to pull himself up but the sight of the corpse was still vivid in his mind.
However ... hard he tried to pull himself up the sight of the corpse was still vivid in his mind.

13. Why force young people to study?
It's no use ...  no use forcing young people ….

14. We've been married for 23 years.
It's ... 23 years since I have been married.

15. You've made her feel inadequate.
She ... has been made / led to feel inadequate.  (??)

16. Marjorie regrets not having taken a University degree.
She wishes ... she had taken a University degree.

17. Raymond is clever and yet fails all his exams.
In spite ... of his cleverness, Raymond fails all his exams.

18. Mrs Rice was sorry she spoke.
She wished ... she hadn’t spoken.

19. They immediately commented on the new guest who had just arrived.
No sooner ... had the new guest arrived, that the started commenting on him. (??)

20. A page-boy told Mrs Rice she was wanted.
Mrs Rice ... was told by a page-boy that she was wanted.

21. The author is sorry the terrorists spoilt the Olympic Games.
He wishes ... the Olympic Games hadn't been spoilt by the terrorists.

22. It is the English youngsters' first trip to the United States.
It's the first time ... English youngsters have ever been to the US.

23. The terrorists wanted everybody to speak about them.
They made ... everybody speak about them.

24. Most athletes don't usually take drugs.
Most athletes aren't used ... to taking drugs.

"Let's go do something with me" is a construction new to me. Is it common usage?
