Dear teachers,

Here is another set of sentences, would please have a look at my analysis again?

4) Some of the critics gave the film terrible reviews.

- some...critics = S
- gave = ditransitive verb
- the film = IO
- terrible reviews = DO ?

5) The house is for sale. S V Cs

- the house = S
- is = intensive / copular verb
- for sale = Cs

6) Johnny McLean finished recharging his .45 caliber the second that Ringo the Rat walked in. S V DO A(t) ?

- Johnny McLean = S
- finished recharging = monotransitive verb ?
- his .45 caliber = DO
- the second...walked in = adverbial of time ?

Thank you very much indeed.
