Hello
Can you help me check these sentences.
Thank you for your help.
There are advantages and disadvantages to accompanying friends or themselves most of their time.
I would rather than spend some time reading books than accompanying friends.
Foreigners who learn English as a second language have to put enough effort in English

Hi Adonis
1 - the 'themselves' and 'most of their time' do not make much sense.
2 - You don't need the first 'than'.
3 - 'enough effort in English' this part does not sound right. Think about the use of 'enough' and 'English' in this part.

Hello, sorry to intrude, but I take it "dis/advantage" can also be followed by "in"?
