Are all these sentences with auxiliary verbs right? Can you give me typical responses to the questions too?

1. Is he studying right now?

2. Does he study math now?

3. Has he been studying today?

4. Had he studied yesterday?

5. Could he study at this moment?

2. Does he study math now? OK. Yes, he does.

3. Has he been studying today? OK. - Yes, he has.

4. Had he studied yesterday? OK. -Yes, he had. However, you'd much more commonly hear 'Did he study yesterday?'

Thank you.

If you had been asked the No.4 question, how would you answer?

Had he studied yesterday? I would favor, Yes, I had  but how about Yes, I did ?

Hi, again,

As I noted earlier:

4. Had he studied yesterday? OK. -Yes, he had. However, you'd much more commonly hear 'Did he study yesterday?'

Are you asking now about Had he studied yesterday? or Had you studied yesterday? You seem to be mixing 'he' and 'I'. Anyway, my comment is basically the same as before.

Hi, clive,

Hi,

Had he studied yesterday? and    Have he studied yesterday?

which one is better is use ? The former. Have is not grammatical with 'he'.

However, you'd more commonly say 'Did he study yesterday?"

Best wishes, Clive
