Hello,

1. X is a story about Y , set in the street of Paris.

What is the meaning of the "set in" here?

The "setting" of a story is where it takes place. It can be a time/place (New York in the 1930s) or just a place (the streets of Paris).

This is a story set in X = the setting of this story is X.
