1)

"[...] the pits moving, accompanying their words by and up and down movement of the hand[...]. After understanding that, I accepted the true meaning of the words: ‘ The pit took three days to die...'"

Is the paragraph above correct? If not, how can I fix it?

2 What does it mean by this:
Sally: The next time you tell me to screw off- get ready to drop!

3) The earth is becoming heavily and is turning worse as days go by

Do we need to repeat the "is" to make parallel structure? Can we just write "is" once and only repeat the gerund?

4) How do we pronounce the 'g' sound, gel vs gay?

Thanks in advance

“  (1) & (2) are much too depressing for my gentle sensibilities

The earth is becoming old and turning worse  is fine.  These are not gerunds.  These are present participles used in the formation of the present continuous tense.

I became angry.  I was becoming angry.  (past continuous)

I become angry.  I am becoming angry. (present continuous)

I am becoming angry and I am turning red.

I am becoming angry and am turning red.

I am becoming angry and turning red.

These all mean the same thing.

You're missing an adjective following the adverb "heavily."  This may effect whether or not you should omit the "is."

The earth is becoming heavily poluted.  (something like that)

4) How do we pronounce the 'g' sound, gel vs gay?

The "hard g" in gay is pronounced all in the throat, as in "gag" or "gun."  The sound begins in the voice box with the throat being closed   -   and then releasing a burst of air.

The "soft g" in gel is pronounced as if it were a "j," as in "June."  The tongue begins at a forward position, blocking the air by sealing against the top gum.  Again, the sound is begun in the voice box, followed by the release of air by the tongue.

Edit.

In beginning the hard G, the throat is closed by the tongue sealing against the roof of the mouth at the back.

Hi,

sorry it's a lil bit convoluted at #1, so here is another way to put it:

that is the excerpt from one of my essays. In the story, the character said: " The pit took three days to die...", alright?
And because I quoted a part of the story, I also quoted what the speaker said. And that speaker (main character) has a quotation mark for what he says in the story. My question is: Is it acceptable to repeat two quotation marks in the setence?

2) Anyone know this?

4) Is there a rule to pronounce the letter 'g'?

If you're talking about nested quotes, they're quite common, and may go as deep as you like.  It works the same way in algebra and in early computer languages.
