Don't you agree with me that women are always good listeners and good friends? Isn't it a proof enough that more shrinks today are ladies than gents?

I'm sorry, but from my own experiences I can't agree with your generalisation.
Sure, I have met many men who are not good listeners, but I have met a similar number of women who are not good at listening either.
It is interesting (if indeed it is true) that there are more female psychiatrists than male, but it is also interesting that the profession with the highest incidence of mental illness is psychiatry (is there a link?).
So, I guess it is up to the individual to choose between a loopy female 'shrink' that only pretends to listen, and a loonie male 'shrink' that does the same.
I should qualify the above by stating that I have never ever been to a 'shrink', so please don't take me too seriously. I try not to take myself that way either, especially on a good day when the the trees are smiling and the birds are telling shaggy dog stories to Tony Table-And-Two-Chairs and his picnic partners.
