Although smokers constitute the majority of people who suffer from cigarettes, they are not the only ones ailing from cigarette smoke.

2 questions.

1 What would be a good substitute for ailing in this sentence?
2 I don't think we can say, sicking or illing.Any grammatical explanation why they are incorrect?
