Hello,

--
a) Please put back the micrometer after use in order to sustain its availability.
b) In order to sustain its availability, please put back the micrometer after use.
--

This is intended for a notice sign.

1) I am not sure about the word use of "availability" and the phrase "sustain its availability." I am meaning "decreasing the chance of breaking it." Will this sentence read odd in your native speakers' eyes?
2) Which, a or b, do you prefer?
3) Can you kindly give me some idiomatic way to say it?

Thank you.

Best Regards

Please return the micrometer promptly so it will be safe and others can use it too.
