Simple predicates

Working with my son on simple predicates, and of course he did not bring the book home. I haven't worked on this in about 30 years - (so not sure it is really important), but it is important for him to get a good grade. We need to find the simple predicate of each sentence.

1. Most people find cockroaches troublesome. (find)

2. These household pests get into everything. (get into)

3. The history of these pests may surprise you. (may surprise)

4. Thes insects are strange and amazing creatures. (are strange and amazing)

5. The cockroach family might be 300 million years old! (might be)

6. A roach's antennae discover tiny amounts of water. (discover)

7. Four mouth feelers sears for food. (search)

8. Bristle's cover its strong legs. (cover)

9. Its legs make it one of the world's fastest insects. (make it)

10. A baby roach grows into an adult in ten weeks. (grows into)

The only thing you should add to the "main verb" would be an auxilliary ("helping") verb, if I'm not mistaken.
