That is not my idea of one; THIS is.  But judging from all the Google Images, most any tight, brimless cap qualifies.

Back to the original question. What do you call them? It seems like you're uncomfortable with them being called skull caps

The brim is the 'horizontal' extension all around a FEDORA, and I suppose the bill of a baseball cap could be considered a partial brim.

I don't call them anything-- the opportunity has never arisen; it appears that they are called skullcaps.
