it's not that i agree about smoking, but if you use kind of law
well it's cause many problems

just start in you family and around you about saying smoke it's bad for you health
i had seen in MTV about smoke make you lose your lung slowly, and make your hard to brief even just a small brief
and your lung become very very BLACK, not red like a health one

Your lungs are getting black that is true and when you stop smoking it will take about 15 years before the nicotine has left your body.

That's what our family doctor told my husband when he stopped smoking (21 years ago)

scary isn't it, well if many publisher and station tv make that kind of program about how tabacco and many bad thing like drug damage our body specially in youth program like mtv or something, i bet smoker became increase rapidly (huwih, very very beutiful dream Stick out tongue [:P] )
and about your husband, that's mean when he's 36, the nocotine left his body. is that mean the body very very clear from it ?

Maybe a program with all the effects would help, maybe not. Most smokers do know how bad it is but they are in denial. I've heard many excuses.

1. In the old day's people smoked too and the died very old.
2. My grandfather smoked and he was 92 when he died.
3. My aunt never smoked a cigarette in her life and she died of lungcancer.

I guess, you guys heard similar excuses for not quit smoking.

It takes 15 years before your body get rid of the nicotine. After these 15 years your lungs are pretty clear from it.

yeah, many excuses they made if we asked them to stoped smoke.
and lot of them said only woman or child not smoke. silly isn't it? (although now smoker lot from woman too).
then when sickness come, they blamed to other thing that not related enough
hope they realize it, and slowly stop smoke before it's too late.
if they to stop for themself, stop for the one their love like family

As long as they are in denial, the smokers won't stop smoking.
I guess there not much you can do about that. :(

May I start by saying that I am a NON SMOKER. BUT, I am sick of seeing the rights of the British Nation trampled on. We MUST fight back against this oppression. Increasingly pubs in not only England but the whole of the UK are banning smoking. How long before it is ANY public place. It is time to make a stand. For the sake of human rights. Pubs, for example, are smoky environments. My opinion? If you don't wanna be in a smoky environment, don't go to a pub. Simple answer for simple people! (6)

This is happening all over the world. The British are far too tolerant for words. I disagree totally with your suggestion of any form of oppression. Falath do you live in the UK?
