"If you don't wanna be in a smoky environment, don't go to a pub."
Ok, but what about all the other public places where you've got to deal with smokers?
Also, I have a simple answer for simple people.
If you want to kill yourself slowly, do it at home.

Great,
I am suffering due to passive smoking. every one here and around smokes, and I am a non-smoker. I had to go to the Doctor , because I had high fever and pain in spine. It was terrible. I came to know that I was suffering with Sinus and I am allergetic to smoke.
Where do you suggest me to go?
Definitely not on the moon.

Let me tell you why exactly it is hard to quit smoking or drugs:
First of all in our brains we have a dedicated organ to produce Nicotine in small amounts. Nicotine is needed to keep the body going when you are lethargic or to increase blood flow.
When you smoke or take drugs, you have excess intake of Nicotine. As you continue taking that chemical as foreign material, aftera short time the brain organ reduces its production of Nicotine, and over a period of time, finally it stops producing it. By this time since the brain stops production of basic required amount of Nicotine,( however we do need a certain amount for the body to function properly) we have to take Nicotine as external material.
We continue doing that and as the organ does not have any function left, it slowly dies making us even more dependent on Nicotine.
Therefore it seems hard to leave it, the effects of trying to leave it are-
1) Continous Headache.
2) Lethargy
You tend to take too much Cofee or tea to make up for Smoking.
The correct way to leave smoking is to leave it slowly.
1)Do not leave it all at once.
2)Reduce the amount of Cigratte you take every day slowly ( go by # of puffs every day). Do not reduce it to one less from previous day, instead you may stick to say half a cigratte less a day for a week or so and then reduce it by half again for a week.
3)Try to chew something which do not contain Nicotine when you really feel like having a puff.
Hope this helps, I was a smoker once, I left it with aid of any one else, I have been reading books and consulting doctors on the effects and after effects of smoking. I do want everyone I know to leave it slowly and with their own will.
Join me for the campaign against smoking( Not smokers)

Good for you Eagle (bravo.... bravo.... bravo... ![Yes [Y]](/emoticons/emotion-21.gif) )
Cause that's for your health and others too, I hope all people think like that.
Even now I still feel very ![Indifferent [:|]](/emoticons/emotion-8.gif) when there someone smoke beside me in public place or public transportation specially with airconditioner in.
But after I shake my hand or close the nose, he still didn't understand it.
Ufhmmmmmmm......
What should I do, may be like you said it before :
Just stay on the moon, soo we save from them (hiks......)

Having a "no smoking" section in a restaurant...is like having a "no peeing" section in the pool! :p

Smoking is bad, but eating too much is bad, eating fried foods. I understand that having a non-smoking section is like having a pool with a non-peeing section. (And by the way that is a very good example I should say) But, have you been to one of these places where it is all you can eat? Have you seen the size of these people walking in the door? And they wonder why they look the way they do!!! It's all an addiction. I would say one would have little or no control to some degree. I believe it is much harder that one would think if you have never had the problem. Everyone needs help!!! We are killing ourselves.

You're right, Guest. Anything in excess is bad. The only difference is that eating fried foods in small amounts every day won't permanently injure your body or harm others like smoking will.
You're right about the buffet's, though. I'm not one to judge, but I know for a fact that lots of the people who go to those buffets are addicted to food and eating...otherwise, they wouldn't be 300 pounds. Addiction in any form is hard to break.

Maybe we should all stop getting angry, wearing annoying perfume, stop swearing, stop wearing provocative clothing (good for some, bad for others), stop all dust and chemicals in the funishing of public places - that way we will all have a nice happy and healthy life.
Meanwhile, while all this is still going on, we smokers will just have to light up and bear it for another day - after all - if we worry about it too much, it could cause cancer.
Come off it all you health police - get things into proportion!
Why should we be made to sit in the rain while you gossip about us in comfort inside?
