Sometimes I have very very big doubts:

"I ask for some suggestions" or "I ask for some suggestion"?

"I buy some books" or "...some book"? I think the first one is the correct one, but sometimes I suddenly start doubting,

'hope you can answer to me, thanks a lot,

Chiara

If you want more than one suggestion, you will ask for some suggestions - and similarly you will buy some books.

If you only want one suggestion, you will ask for a suggestion - or buy a book.
