a) on

b) by

c) into

The answer is a but I don't know why it's not b

2)" Yes I know", Claira said

or "Yes I know", said Claira

?

3)In the SAT, are we allowed to  work on the previous section? ( I mean, we are to do section 9 but come back to section 8 or 7 to check the answer), is it possible?

Hi,

1)The two owners were divided__ the issue of whether to hire a new secretary or not

a) on

b) by

c) into

The answer is a but I don't know why it's not b A and B are both possible, although A is more idiomatic. 'Over' is probably the best answer of all.

2)" Yes I know", Claira said

or "Yes I know", said Claira

? Both are fine. You need a period at the end, and a comma after 'yes'.

3)In the SAT, are we allowed to  work on the previous section? ( I mean, we are to do section 9 but come back to section 8 or 7 to check the answer), is it possible?I don't know.

Best wishes, Clive

2)" Yes I know", Claira said

or "Yes I know", said Claira

"Yes I know," Claira said.

or "Yes I know," said Claira.

I would put the comma inside the quotation marks.
