Help me to find correct answers for these questions.
1.I didn't learn much Greek ........ I was in Crete
as
during
since
while
So, here are 2 possible choices 'since' and 'while', because the sentence is in past simple
tense I would say that correct is 'while'. Am I Right?
2. The more ........ we walk the longer it will take us to get home
slowly
slower
slowest
slow
I not sure about 'slow'.
3. I'd rather you ........ smoke in the office
couldn't
mustn't
shouldn't
didn't
I would use "didn't"
5. He didn' t want to risk________late for the interview.
arrive
arriving
to arrive
having arrived
Really don't know what to use here.
7.We had an exciting _____ on the Trans-Siberian railway.
travel
trip
tour
cruise
Could anyone explain first three options closer? They seem to be very similar.
Thank You
Peter

1. while You are right.
2. slowly You need an adverb to answer the question how we walk.
3. didn't You are right.
5. arriving The catenative "risk" takes a gerund (-ing form).
7. trip
travel - noncountable - you can't have "a" travel, or two travels, etc.
Travel is just the activity of traveling.
trip - countable - a particular instance of a going from one place to another - with an origin and a destination
tour - countable - sometimes "guided tour" - a planned route of travel from one place to another to another to another, with stops to enjoy the sights, historical monuments, or to shop, etc. Also, performers who go from city to city to city .... to perform are "on tour".
