Hi,

I found these sentences from an article in the Los Angeles TImes World Report Section, A special section produced in cooperation with The Korea Times, and wanted to ask some questions.

1. Do you need an article in the place shown?

..., just like those worn by the real "Dear Leader."

2. Is the word "diplomatic" appropriate here?

..., requiring much diplomatic as acting skills.

3. Do you need or not need the article "the" here?

He grew up in (the???) South Jeolla province.

1-- Yes.  Which one? The real one.

2-- Yes, but I don't like the overall structure

3-- I would call the wrong.  It is normally not used before proper names.
