I sort of understand the singular, in some way, but not the plural in some wayS.

In some ways, I enjoyed this movie more than any of his features, and yet it's sad that he has drawn in his horns so much

Can I interpret it as through some methods?

'In some ways' basically means the same thing as 'in a way' (i.e. 'to a certain extent'). Using the plural 'ways' suggests that various individual aspects of something were considered.

I've been using those idioms this way:

In some ways = To some extent, partly, for some reasons, etc. In some ways, you can consider every human being as an animal.
In some way = One way or another, somehow. You could try to get the password without looking suspicious, in some way.

Just my way. I might be wrong. Smile
